*KR & Team* is an emotionally intense Malayalam feature film written, directed, and headlined by K. Rameshan, under the banner of *KR Naveen Redy Film & More.* The film combines elements of drama, suspense, and realism, set against the vibrant and gritty backdrop of Kerala society.
 
With a storyline that unfolds through gripping character arcs and unexpected turns, the film explores themes of family, betrayal, justice, loyalty, and moral dilemmas, reflecting contemporary social realities with emotional depth.

Current Project Status

As of June 2025, the project is actively progressing through its pre-production and initial production phases. The journey has been rigorous, creatively fulfilling, and methodically planned:
 
  •  First schedule of shooting completed in Mumbai, involving key introductory.
  • Main shooting schedules are lined up across Thrissur district.
  • Shooting style: Raw, grounded, performance-driven with a realistic visual tone
  •  Camera & Technical Setup: Netflix-approved gear and cinematic lighting via technical collaboration
  •  Sound Design: Planned for theatrical mix with with immersive layers for action, silence, and realism
The casting process is in its final stages. The creative team has already
 
  •  Shortlisted 60+ actors, associate directors, and technicians, mostly from Thrissur and surrounding areas.
  •  Known Malayalam actors are also being finalized for key supporting and antagonist roles.
  • All actors will be selected based on talent, screen fit, and story demand — ensuring a seamless blend of fresh and seasoned performances.
 
Lead Character KR will be portrayed by K. Rameshan ( *25 yrs of stage experience* ), who brings a grounded, lived-in realism to the emotionally intense protagonist.
  • A soulful and rooted soundtrack is planned, featuring original Malayalam songs blending emotion, local culture, and lyrical meaning.
  •  Lyrics finalization and composing are underway, with the first song recording  completed.
  • Musical direction is being handled in collaboration with an experienced composer, with recording and mixing planned at professional studios.
